Attracting as many as 144 players, the Bob Dow Memorial Golf Tournament happens each year in late May when the greens are at their playable best. Two-person teams compete in a combination of formats, Best Ball, alternate shot and a scramble. The competition is friendly but the event is extremely popular, attracting participants from across the province as well as Alberta and BC. We suggest entering early.
Formerly called the Nipawin Open, the tournament was re-named after Bob Dow in 1978. Bob Dow was a long-time groundskeeper at the Evergreen course, working from 1957 until the mid-1970s.
